Brothers Sam and Luke, blues guitar sensations from White Rock, will present Blues Bash for the South Delta Food Bank at the Tsawwassen Legion next Friday, Oct. 29.

Canadian singer-songwriter Cameron Scott Fraser opens the night with an all-original acoustic set starting at 8 p.m.

Then at 9 p.m. Sam and Luke storm the stage with their veteran backing band performing blues covers and originals from their debut CD, Standing in a Room.

Now available on iTunes, Standing in a Room was recorded in Nashville with notable Canadian producer Colin Linden.

It will be available for purchase during the bash with a portion of the CD sales from the night being donated to the South Delta Food Bank.

Accomplished musicians, Sam and Luke are winners of the 2008 White Rock Blues Society's Blues Talent Search, 2009 Downchild Blues Bands' "Make me a Star" competition, 2009 Shore 104 FM's Blues Guitar Contest, and the 2010 Rarearth PKH Talent Search. The duo will represent B.C. at the International Blues Challenge Youth Showcase next year in Memphis.

This is a free event with donation of one or two non-perishable healthy food items for the South Delta Food Bank.

The Tsawwassen Legion is located at 1835-56th St. No minors allowed at the show.
