Blew across the American line

Washington down through Oregon
Beautiful mountains and streams
Been lookin out this windshield for hours
All I can do is dream

California, Arizona
All the way to Tennessee
Good to know ya, gotta know you’re
In the place you’re supposed to be
Hittin’ the road
Nothing but wide open sky
Hittin’ the road
Watching those mile markers fly

Stopped into our old town
Stayed a couple extra days
Then we had to keep on movin
We headed out of San Jose

Four long days since we left home
No space to stretch our feet
Driving through Oklahoma
Burning up the 40 east

Passed Sallisaw and now we’re cruising through Memphis
The city lights start to appear
Driving straight into tomorrow
